Known limitations
What LuvMacro 2.0 does not do yet, and what has not been tested.
Where it runs
- Windows only. LuvMacro 2.0 is for Windows 10 and 11. It has been tested on Windows 11; Windows 10 has not been tested. There is no Mac download, and nothing has been tested on a Mac.
- Not code-signed. Windows may warn you the first time you run it. See Install LuvMacro for how to check the file.
Games
- Roblox and anti-cheat. LuvMacro has not been tested with Roblox, with any other game, or with anti-cheat software. Whether a game accepts simulated input is up to the game. Test a short macro and a short run first.
- Locked cursors. A game that locks the cursor for camera movement may not replay correctly.
Scripts
- Not every AutoHotkey script works. Many are refused, and the reason is always given. See Import an AutoHotkey script.
- Pictures are needed. A script that looks for pictures cannot play until its PNG files are supplied.
- It behaves a little differently from AutoHotkey. The differences are listed in Import details.
- LuvMacro saves its own format only. There is no export to AutoHotkey.
- Real-world checks are limited. The converter is checked with automatic tests. It has not been proven against real games.
The editor
- Editing a recording changes it. In an edited copy, mouse movement is simplified to straight moves and positions stay where you recorded them (window scaling is not kept). Your original recording is never changed.
- No screen capture yet. The editor cannot take a picture from your screen, and it has no "test detection" button yet. Attach PNG files instead.
- Suggestions are limited. They offer one idea at a time and never apply themselves.
Discord notifications
- Optional, and only through the LuvMacro server. They need an internet connection to LuvMacro's notification service, and you must be in the LuvMacro Discord server because Discord only lets the bot message people who share a server with it. Your own Discord settings can still block the messages. See Discord notifications.
- No ready-made win and loss pictures. No game comes with them. They have to be made from real screenshots of that game's result screens, and LuvMacro does not claim that detection works for a particular game.
- Tried with a real account only in part. The owner connected a real Discord account and messages arrived. Blocked direct messages, not being in the server, a link removed on Discord's side and result pictures from a real game have not been reported tested.
- Older versions cannot open them. LuvMacro 1.x cannot open a macro that uses the Report how the run went step. See Report how the run went.
Screens
- Few screen setups tested. Other monitors, display scales and several monitors have not been tested on real hardware. See Screen sizes and scaling.
If you hit a limit that is not on this list, please tell us in the Discord server.
