LuvMacro is a Windows app made by Luvrr (creator) and Rowen (lead developer). This page covers the app and this website. The short version: LuvMacro works fully offline, and the only feature that sends anything to our service is Discord notifications, which are off until you turn them on.
The app on its own
Your recordings and macros stay on your computer. LuvMacro does not upload them, and it needs no account. Apart from the optional check for a newer version, which you can switch off in Settings, the app sends nothing to us until you click Connect Discord.
Discord notifications (optional)
Discord notifications are off by default. They start only when you click Connect Discord in the app and sign in with Discord. Disconnecting stops them.
When connected, LuvMacro sends this to our service:
- the notification you chose to receive: a result, an error, started, stopped or a summary. It holds text such as the run number, how long it took, win and loss counts, the macro name and an error code;
- only if you turned screenshots on, a picture of the game window.
The service passes it to your own Discord direct messages through the LuvMacro bot, and does not keep it. Screenshots exist only in memory while one request is being forwarded to Discord.
What we keep
- Your Discord user ID and the ID of your direct-message channel with the bot, encrypted, tied to a random connection token. Only a hash of that token is stored, never the token itself. They are kept while the connection is used, and deleted after 180 days without use, when you click Disconnect in the app, or when you use Remove my Discord data (below).
- While you are connecting, a temporary record exists for at most 15 minutes. It is deleted once you are connected.
- A marker that a message was delivered, kept for 1 hour, so a retry is not sent twice.
- Rate-limit counters, which stop one person from flooding the bot. They use salted hashes and expire after a short time.
What we do not keep
- Discord sign-in tokens. We ask Discord for the identify scope only, which gives us who you are, nothing else. The token is revoked as soon as we have your ID.
- Screenshots or the text of your notifications.
- IP addresses in readable form. They appear only inside the salted hashes used for rate limits.
- Passwords. LuvMacro has no accounts.
The service never reads your Discord messages and never adds you to a server.
Who receives it
Only two parties: Discord, to deliver the message to you, and Vercel, which hosts the service and acts for LuvMacro. We do not sell data, show advertising, build profiles, or use anything for a purpose other than delivering your own notifications.
What you need for it to work
The bot can only message people who share the LuvMacro Discord server with it. If you are not a member, connecting asks you to join first. Your own Discord settings can still block messages from the bot, and we cannot change that. You must be old enough to use Discord, which is 13 or older under Discord’s rules.
Deleting your data
Any of these removes what we hold:
- Click Disconnect in LuvMacro.
- Use Remove my Discord data in LuvMacro’s Settings. It signs you in with Discord and deletes everything held for that Discord account, including if you no longer have the app.
- Ask in the LuvMacro Discord server.
Otherwise it is deleted on its own after 180 days without use.
This website
The website counts page views, download-link clicks, video plays and error-code lookups as anonymous daily totals. It sets no cookies and stores no IP addresses or browser details. A click on a download link is not a completed download.
Changes and contact
