Play and stop a macro

Choose a recording, select its target window, and stop safely.

Play a recording

  1. Press Open… and choose a .luvmacro file, or use the recording already loaded.
  2. Press Play or F7. Opening a file alone never plays it.
  3. Switch to the window you want to control during the start delay (three seconds by default).
  4. Keep that window in front. Press Stop or F8 at any time.

Playback will not start unless the Stop shortcut is working. Stopping releases any key or mouse button the app was holding. Switching to a different window also stops playback.

Window size and position

On Windows, recordings made in 1.1.0 or later remember their window and can scale mouse positions to the playback window. A different window shape produces a warning. If the application moves its own buttons, recorded clicks may still miss them.

Older recordings use screen positions and warn when your screen differs. If clicks miss, try the original window size or record a new short macro.

Games and administrator windows

Games are not guaranteed to accept simulated input. Programs running as administrator can ignore input from LuvMacro. The small status bar may be hidden by exclusive full-screen games; the stop shortcut still works.
